nOir is a New York-based design brand founded by designer and stylist Leeora Catalan in 1995. Leeora started out her illustrious career in fashion at Oscar De La Renta and Ralph Lauren and then becoming a stylist later on. Once she became a professional stylist, she learned more about the artistry behind accessories making and started creating her own accessories because she just couldn’t find the right pieces she needed at local stores. Her simple hobby of handcrafting her own accessories like turned out to be a major hit among A- list fashionistas and clients. By 1995, Leeora launched her very own design house and unveiled her first accessories collection. She teamed up with her business partner and now husband.

Marais USA is a New York-based footwear brand launched in 2008 by Catherine Chen and Haley Boyd. Chen and Boyd, both a graduate student at the prestigious Parson School of Design, collaborated on Marais USA while still in the design school, in order to fill the void of ultra-simple and affordable shoes for women.

“Every time we went shopping we could never find a well-designed flat for $50 that didn’t have some kind of weird embellishment. That is how our collection started and here we are two years later!
